A few months ago I attended an Adobe Touch Apps presentation hosted by OCMMA and Adobe. Four Adobe Touch Apps were reviewed:
- Adobe Photoshop Touch: Photoshop for tablets
- Pronto: Website wireframe mock-up tool
- Ideas: Vector program for tablets
- Kuler: Color swatches
Here are a few notes that I took from the presentation. First of all, you may not know this but…
Adobe offers:
- 20gb FREE Cloud Storage at: creative.adobe.com
- FREE color swatches at: kuler.adobe.com
Next, regarding Adobe Touch Apps:
Required tablet specs:
- Android Honeycomb 3.1 or higher, 8 inch screen
- Mac iOS 5 or higher
Photoshop Touch:
- Layered Photoshop files are stored as .psdx format
- psd files will flatten when opened in PSTouch
- .gifs, .jpgs and .png files are compatible
- Free tutorials are avalable on the app
Kuler:
- Color swatch files are stored as .ase
- Share or Download swatch themes
Ideas:
- Vector layered files are stored as .pdf
- Layers available for a fee
Pronto:
- Available on Android and iPad
- Website files, including html and css, are stored as zip files
- Dreamweaver compatible
