Kaput – The desktop PC over at clickwowdesigns won’t shut off, and in sleep mode, it won’t wake up.
For this persistent problem, the warranted computer was shipped twice to MicroMedics, Costco’s outsourced tech team. En route to MicroMedics (the second time), the side panel (bezel) broke off, costing $140 to repair.
Question: Who should pay for the shipping damages?
- MicroMedics – for supplying ill fitting foam packaging material and over-sized box, without packing instructions
- Independent mailbox/UPS drop off store – for insufficiently packing the computer
Of course, unwilling to bite the responsibility bullet, everyone blames the next guy.
