dropbox

The Dropbox App enables you to share photos, videos, work docs and other data between computers, using cloud computing. You can create doc, txt and pdf files on your desktop, store them in Dropbox and read or edit them anywhere with your iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry, Windows, Mac or Linux platform. No more USB stick or emailing yourself!

Dropbox has other nice features, like the ability to share folders with others. Authorized friends, family and co-workers can access and make changes to your files from their computers – like a mini shared network drive. This allows for instant collaboration on projects. When you invite others to join and install Dropbox, you all will receive 250 MB of additional storage.

Free Dropbox accounts come with 2GB of storage. It is secure. All files are encrypted with AES-256 before being stored. Banks and the military use these standards to protect their data.

Here’s an example of how you can use Dropbox:

  1. Download Dropbox to your desktop.
  2. Put your documents in the Dropbox folder (on your desktop).
  3. Login to dropbox.com with your email address and password, from your work computer, friend’s computer, school computer, or mobile device.
  4. Access your drop-boxed documents.

It’s that simple!
